Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube: Lithium Heparin (Mint) tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Collection Instructions: Specimen must be placed on ice immediately after collection and centrifuged within 15 minutes of collection.  Immediately pour off and refrigerate.  The specimen must be tested within 3 hours of collection.

Note: EDTA plasma may also be used, but MUST be tested within 30 min of collection.
