ANION GAP

eGFR
eGFR calculated with 2021 CKD-EPI equation using creatinine,
patient's age, and sex. Other factors, especially muscle mass,
may affect accuracy and need to be considered. In the absence
of evidence of kidney damage, neither eGFR category G1 nor G2
fulfill the criteria for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
Category eGFR Terms
G1 ≥ 90 Normal or high
G2 60 - 89 Mildly decreased*
G3a 40 - 59 Mild to moderately decreased
G3b 30 - 44 Moderately to severely decreased
G4 15 - 29 Severely decreased
G5 < 15 Kidney failure
*Relative to young adult level.
Classification of CKD based upon recommendations from the
National Kidney Foundation.
See individual test listings for other values.
