Specimen Requirements

Nasopharyngeal swab specific for test kit:  Carefully insert the specific KIT provided swab beneath inferior turbinate and vigorously rub and roll against mucosal surface. Remove swab from nose, and place back in package for immediate transport to lab.

  Throat swabs or swabs in medium containing charcoal are unacceptable.
