Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube: Mint-top (lithium heparin) tube
Specimen Volume: 2 mL of fluid
Collection Instructions:
1. Indicate specimen source. Any body fluid type is acceptable, EXCEPT synovial fluid. Washings are NOT acceptable.
2. Do not transport specimen in syringe with needle attached.
3. Separate from cells within 2 hours of collection.
