Specimen Volume: 1 mL of plasma

Serum
Container/Tube: Serum gel tube
Specimen Volume: 1 mL of serum
Collection Instructions: Protect specimen from light.
Note: 1. Indicate serum.
2. Label specimen appropriately (serum).
Whole Blood
Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube
Specimen Volume: Full tube of blood.
Collection Instructions: Label specimen properly. Submit entire tube.
