Specimen Requirements

Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

Plasma

Container/Tube: Mint-top (lithium heparin) tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of plasma

Collection Instructions: Draw peak level 30 minutes after end of a 30-minute intravenous infusion or 60 minutes post intramuscular injection. Draw trough level immediately before next dose.

Note: 1. Indicate plasma and peak or trough.

2. Label specimen appropriately (plasma and as peak or trough).

Serum

Container/Tube: Serum gel tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of serum

Collection Instructions: Draw peak level 30 minutes after end of a 30-minute intravenous infusion or 60 minutes post intramuscular injection. Draw trough level immediately before next dose.

Note: 1. Indicate serum and peak or trough.

2. Label specimen appropriately (serum and as peak or trough).
